Building the AnekaDev Website: A Site for Tech Services and Support

When I started working on the AnekaDev website, the goal was to create a straightforward site that presents our tech services and support offerings clearly. I chose WordPress because it’s flexible, familiar, and easy to manage over time. For the theme, I used Kadence because it’s lightweight and gives enough layout control without needing too many extras.
Why Kadence?
Kadence includes enough built-in customization features that I didn’t need much additional styling. It works well with Gutenberg, which kept the editing process simple. Using Kadence Blocks and Kadence Pro, I got access to layout tools like grid columns, icon lists, and tabbed content blocks.
Plugins I Used
I tried to keep the plugin list focused on what was necessary for the site to work well:
- WPForms for contact and inquiry forms
- FlyingPress, Flying Pages, and Index WP MySQL For Speed to improve loading times
- Rank Math SEO for basic SEO setup
- WooCommerce and Cart Icon for WooCommerce to prepare for future product sales
- TranslatePress to support multilingual content
- Site Kit by Google for Analytics and Search Console integration
- Block Visibility and Shortcode Manager to control when and where certain content appears
- WP Chat App to add WhatsApp contact buttons
What I Ran Into
Some plugin conflicts happened, especially with the performance plugins. Certain caching and preload settings caused problems with interactive elements like the chat button or cart display. I had to test different settings to find a balance between speed and stability.
I also tried out a few plugins that I later removed, such as duplicate post and auto backup tools. They weren’t critical and made the dashboard slower or more cluttered.
Final Thoughts
The AnekaDev website is a small site built to present services clearly and provide easy ways to get in touch. Kadence, along with a focused set of plugins, made it possible to build something stable and efficient without adding unnecessary complexity.
